Aluminum foil passivation solution

Dry passivation VB108/Thermal passivation VB208

VB108 is a surface treatment agent for aluminum foil containing trivalent chromium, which is suitable for dry passivation; VB208 is a surface treatment agent for aluminum foil containing trivalent chromium, which is suitable for thermal passivation. Both two agents have excellent corrosion resistance, though they have different application process. Not only can improve the electrolyte resistance of aluminum foil, but also can improve the bonding strength with adhesive. It is especially suitable for the passivation treatment of li-ion battery soft-pack aluminum-plastic film aluminum foil.

VB Series product advantages
1) Can be used separately with dry heat process
2) Does not contain hexavalent chromium (trivalent chromium type)
3) Can meet the electrolyte resistance of aluminum foil

5) Roller coating type passivation agent (no waste water is produced during the process)

Application process
1) Coating method:Roller coating is suggested. Anilox roller with more than 280 mesh is preferred
2) Coating dry weight:Suggested 0.1~0.15g/m2
3) Drying temperature:Suggested drying temperature between 160-200℃, drying time no more than 30s,depends on passivation situation.
4) Dilution: If you need to dilute, it is recommended to use ethanol for diluting, and the dilution ratio is determined according to the wet volume of the coating anilox roll
